Todd Womack Bio

Long story medium short…

These days I’m a professional copywriter, producer and director of videos of many kinds, but before that…

I started out as a comedian in Austin, TX after graduating as a copywriter from UT’s Creative Advertising program. I soon moved to New York City where I worked as a copywriter and spent my nights doing comedy. I eventually toured all over the place, and even appeared in a few tv shows and commercials.

Then I got a chance to put it all together, and combine my advertising and comedy experience into video content for a global audience within Google at YouTube. Soon I was a full time producer at Google, getting paid to make really popular content for a global audience at world-class facilities. I used my copywriter skills to write sponsored campaigns, special marketing assignments, and internal projects that truly got around the world. We made some famous stuff, some infamous stuff, and lots of other stuff.

Eventually I wanted to leave the wonderful insanity of New York, so I came back to Austin to try to become a normal person. I did manage to move to Austin! For five years I worked as a writer then producer for WarnerMedia at Rooster Teeth, producing broadcast studio content, managing groups of content creators and eventually an internal creative agency, as well as doing a bit of live performing and doing VO for animated shows.

Then I had a real fun long boring time during the pandemic and started freelancing as a creative focusing on copywriting and video, where I can be a valuable asset to the bottom line of any company. I happily work at the intersection of branding, advertising, and often, comedy. I write VSL’s, direct (and sometimes produce) commercials and social media content for brands.
